Winter Activities

Ice Fishing

The chill of winter doesn’t mean a slowdown in recreation activities – it just mean you switch out your flip flops for snow boots! Feel like fish for supper? Hit any one of the many lakes around Beulah for great ice fishing. It’s as easy as drilling a hole in the ice, dropping your line and enjoy a brisk winter day. Spear fishing is another popular way to enjoy a winter day – chop a big hole in the ice and wait for a giant northern to swim by! Even if you don’t get one – the view of life below the ice is fantastic. Check out www.nd.gov/gf for more information on licenses, maps and regulations.
